[Guide] Ban and Mutes Appeals (2024)

Might I suggest adding more detail; such as keeping your Ban ID to yourself to prevent someone appealing on your behalf or perhaps how someone could attempt to secure their account in case they still have access themselves (changing their password and security questions).

Trust me, this has been done so many times. If people can't find the appeal section, how will they find this thread once it gets lost in pages?

While these kind of threads may feel helpful to do, they are kinda pointless like PostFarmer said:

Appeal section, which includes everything needed (and usually everything that's said in community made guides as well) is linked to ban screen. Yet, people keep posting them to wrong section. There's no stopping that.

I did request this guide will get pinned, hopefully it does as fellow forumers are answer the same questions about appeals over and over again.

The goal of this guide was to redirect people to the appeal link when they were about to post their question about appeals, I’m hoping this guide will get pinned that way more people will see it

A Ban ID is a code that has a record of the punishment that was given. You can find the Ban ID by logging into Hypixel and looking at the bottom of the screen.

Your account was most likely hacked. Go to https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new and submit your request to Mojang. Do not contact Hypixel for assistance of a hacked account, Hypixel cannot help you with your hacked account as they are not directly associated with Mojang.

Watchdog Cheat Detection must have mistook your mod for a hack client. Unfortunately, appealing will not help in this situation as all mods are use at your own risk. Here is the list of allowed mods:https://hypixel.net/threads/guide-allowed-modifications.345453/

Remove the skin/cape and send an appeal.

If the Hypixel Appeal Team has rejected your appeal you will either have to wait out your punishment or accept it. All decisions are final. Do not contact a staff member to revoke your punishment, nothing will come out of it.

Chances are it won't. It might even get deleted lol. The staff don't like threads like this.

Possibility of that happening is minimal even if it was pinned. As I said, appeal section includes everything needed and that's place ban screen directs people to. Still people keep posting their appeals to wrong sections (especially game sections) - because they don't read. If they don't read official posts, do you think they will read random pinned/nonpinned thread? Chances are, they don't.

Sorry if I sound rude, that's not my intention. Just saying how it is. I know you try to help, but thread like this simply isn't that much of a help as you think it is.

don't forget about how sharing your ban ID can slow down the processing of your appeal

I completely understand where you’re coming from. Some people didn’t even know what their Ban ID was despite it being in a very obvious place. When your banned from a server you put hundreds of hours of time into it’s easy to get worked up and not see things clearly. When making this thread I knew not every person would see this thread even if it was pinned. But I still decided to make this guide to help the few people that would see it.
